SAFER RIDES START HERE

Our Story
We share a simple but powerful belief: that every person working in agriculture deserves to return home safely each day.
Through collaboration with farmers, industry leaders, government agencies, and safety experts, we're building a movement that understands and represents real farmers and farming communities - to create lasting change across our sector.

Let’s keep ourselves, on track.

The average quad bike accident, puts a farmer out of work for 82 days. That’s nearly a season. And from 2021-2025, 19 farmers never made it home.

The right decisions can help - but tech that helps prevent accidents, or protect you from the impact, can make a lasting difference. So Safer Farms are giving farmers the opportunity to redeem huge savings when purchasing a CPD or Fleetpin Safetrax system from our partners.

So why not reduce your risk? Check what you could save and apply for your discount code today.

Know your options.

There’s no magic fix but the right mix of interventions that let people fail safely delivers Safer Rides every day.

Check out this matrix to look at the options available to you today.

Crush Protection Devices

Crush Protection Devices (CPDs) are attachments fitted to the back of a quad bike to create a “safe zone” for the rider in the event of a rollover.

Their purpose is to help prevent riders from being pinned, crushed or suffocated by holding the quad bike off the ground and maintaining a clearance zone the rider can survive in, or escape from.

CPDs can also influence how a quad rolls by interrupting continuous rollover motion, which may reduce the severity of low‑speed overturns.

Some designs use flexible materials to absorb impact forces and improve protection.

As part of Safer Rides, get a 20% discount code for a CPD from Trax Equipment or QuadBar — that’s up to $395 off RRP on selected models! Simply click on the button below to apply for your voucher code.

GPS/Telemetry Systems

A GPS/telemetry system is technology used to monitor vehicle location, movement and operating conditions in real time. These systems combine GPS tracking, which records where a vehicle is and how it is being driven, with telemetry sensors that detect factors such as rollover‑risk, harsh movement or unsafe operating conditions.

On farms, this technology improves situational awareness, supports rapid incident response, and promotes safer vehicle operation by identifying hazardous behaviours. Solutions such as Safetrax provide real‑time rollover risk alerts to drivers and automatically send an SOS with vehicle location to designated contacts if a rollover occurs. The data collected helps farmers understand risk trends, deliver targeted training, and quickly locate vehicles and operators in emergencies.

Speed Limiters

A speed limiter is a device that restricts a vehicle from travelling above a set maximum speed. Speed limiters generally come in two forms:
  • Electronic speed limiters, which connect to the vehicle’s engine management system and regulate acceleration by monitoring speed and throttle input
  • Mechanical speed limiters, which use physical components—such as adjustments to the throttle linkage or fuel system—to limit how fast the vehicle can travel
On farms, speed limiters are used to manage risk by controlling maximum vehicle speed. Lower speed increases the time a rider has to react to unexpected situations and reduces stopping distances. Limiting speed can support the effectiveness of other safety measures for example, many helmets are certified for impact protection up to around 30 km/hour, and their ability to reduce injury decreases at higher speeds.

Helmets

A helmet is personal protective equipment designed to protect a rider’s head when operating vehicles such as quad bikes and side‑by‑sides. It includes a hard outer shell to help manage impact forces and a shock‑absorbing inner liner that reduces the effect of sudden blows.

Helmets come in various styles such as full‑face, open‑face and modular offering different levels of coverage depending on the activity and environment.

On farms, helmets are used to reduce the risk of head injuries in the event of a rollover, collision, or fall. Because quad bikes and side‑by‑sides can tip or lose stability on uneven terrain, wearing an appropriate, approved helmet helps protect riders by significantly lowering the likelihood and severity of head trauma.

Tyre Pressure Gauge

A tyre pressure gauge is a handheld tool used to measure the air pressure inside a vehicle’s tyres.

For quad bikes and side‑by‑sides on farms, knowing and maintaining the correct tyre pressure is important for safe and effective operation. Correct pressure helps ensure consistent traction - especially on soft or uneven terrain, supports stable handling and reduces the likelihood of rollovers. It also helps tyres wear evenly, extending their lifespan and lowers the risk of punctures or other tyre failures.

Regular pressure checks are important when vehicles move between different surfaces or loads. Recommended pressure should always follow the manufacturer’s guidelines.

Testimonials

What do farmers think of Safer Rides?

I would absolutely recommend to other farmers that they get bars fitted. It was a great programme. I saw the opportunity and thought 'I’ll do that'”
Simon Davies, Farmer
It was a great idea that encouraged farmers to get proactive about buying them. I’d definitely recommend them to other farms and I’d like to see a further promotion to encourage more to take advantage of it.”
David Clark, Farmer
I think the Safer Rides programme, combined with all the work that has been done around health and safety over recent years, has made us do things a bit differently. It has brought safety to the fore and we talk about it a lot more on farm now."
Scott Rome, Farmer
